Where to go

Toila-Martsa hiking trail

This hiking trail, which starts in the village of Toila, winds its way not only along high clifftops but also down onto the seashore below. Hiking along it you will enjoy the scenery of the Baltic Glint, its forests and famous blue clay sediments and granite, and find out more about local cultural history. You can cover the hiking trail as two different distances: the shorter, at 3.2 km, takes in the harbour and beach, the old fishing port and the German soldiers’ cemetery; the longer also takes in the geological features of the area, its ancient forests and a mill tower before returning to Toila along the old trade road.

Trips on Aidu Quarry and Purtse River

Experience an unforgettable canoe or raft trip on an old water-filled oil shale quarry or on Purtse River. The trip is perfect for families and larger groups: we have canoes for up to 25 people and the rafts can seat up to 12 people. The courses are from 5 to 25 km long, so you can pick your favourite. We will plan the route according to your wishes. Come and relax in the beautiful nature of Ida-Viru County!

What makes the beach unique are the flat boulders offsetting its narrow strip of sand. Active holiday-makers can play volleyball while the kids have fun on a trampoline. In the summer, there is a  tavern  which sells drinks, ice-cream, and snacks, a harbour salon which sells design and craft items, and a cocktail bar called Kongo . Guests can also visit Toila harbour . Good to know: parking in the beach is for a fee.

Basically, gyroscopic sensors and a computer will do everything for you. After the unicycle has been fully charged, it can be used to ride for 15–45 km, depending on many factors (weight, speed, temperature, the track profile, etc.).
